Dave managed to move the gate enough so that we could get through. ;o). Of course they asked us to pull over for a brief inspection. We would have been suprised if they hadn't, after our smooth move. Haha.
After the actual border crossing we drove for about ten minutes and got to what is commonly known as kilometre 21 on the Nogales crossing. It is where we had to get our tourist cards and our vehicle import permits. It is quite a lengthy process but with patience and the friendly service it went very smoothly.
I can not even begin to explain how I felt to be back in Mexico. There is just something about it that makes me very happy.
When we woke up in Arizona this morning we couldn't bear to get out of bed it was so cold. Dave got up, started the furnace, the generator & the coffee & jumped back in bed for awhile. When we got up we wore pants & fleece sweatshirts. As we were driving today it kept getting warmer & warmer.
We were very happy to arrive at the Totonaka RV Park in San Carlos. We were even happier when they gave us coupons for a margarita.
The view from the bar.
San Carlos seems like a nice small town. Unfortunately we won't be staying to see much of it. Lots of people we met come here for the whole winter.
I thought the rv park in Arizona was pretty nice with all of its amenities but it just can't compare with feeling sand between your toes.
