The Living is Easy

Our days have fallen into a routine, if you can call it that.  First thing in the morning we go for a walk, either up the road or down the beach.  That is followed by coffee and breakfast, which we manage to stretch out for quite awhile.  After that it's time for our chores which could be laundry, cleaning, groceries, trailer maintenance, whatever needs doing.  Surprisingly, there always is something to do.  At some point it's time for a beer and some lunch, then before you know it, it's time to go to the beach.  We spend the rest of the day on the beach until it's time to come home and make supper.  We barbecue in the dark because the sun goes down about 5:30.  If there's nothing going on in the evening, which is most of the time, we might watch something pre recorded, like an episode of Shameless.  That's pretty much our day.
This is where we have our coffee.
We got the circus tent material, which was really inexpensive, to create shade.
The water was really rough on this day, which was November 17th.
Cleo enjoys watching the waves as much as we do.
The park is getting busier.  We're starting to lose our view.
Cleo found a coconut.

Two couples in the park decided to attempt another tequila run.  This time they were successful.  When they related the story to the fellow at the tequila warehouse about their last trip he said that if they had phoned him from the town where the truck broke down he would have come and picked them up.  If only they'd known.  We were happy to get our five litres of tequila for $40.00!  And it's really good!
A beautiful end to the day.

I definitely eat better in Mexico.  The vegetables are so good and so cheap.
Dave must have taken this picture.
Dave has been boogey boarding.
The best sunset we've had so far.

Another fun day at the beach.
Cleo is hunting for crabs.

So much fun.
We went into town to watch the Revolution Day celebrations.  Last weekend was a three day holiday weekend for Revolution Day and today, November 20th, is the actual day.  Mexicans really like to celebrate.  There was lots of dancing in the square.
We finally succeeded in getting some pictures of the cows on our morning walk.
The boy on the bicycle is herding them.

We've noticed the cows behave better for the father than the boy.
He quite often has to jump off his bike and get a stray cow out of the bush.
There is a man in the top of the tree trimming coconuts.
This is the main street in Lo de Marcos.

Almost all the streets in town are cobblestone.
Isn't there a saying "the dog days of summer"?
A boogey boarding dog.

Before we had neighbours.

A beach find.
Our morning walk.
Breakfast with a view.

This notice is outside the doctor's office in town.  100 pesos = $8.00 and no, we're not bringing any home for anyone. 😊
Another great beach day.
Wet dog.
More people have arrived in the park.  On Monday, November 23rd we had an appetizer potluck and music night.
Lots of fun and some great talent.

Nov. 24
Beautiful morning, as usual.

Must be a good day for fishing.

This is the old skylight/dome that was above our shower.  It got smashed by a tree branch in Mazatlan and Dave had duct taped it.
He installed a temporary replacement today which he bought at Home Depot.  It is impossible to get actual RV parts here.  It is blue and hopefully it will make it to Winnipeg.
It was a busy day at the beach, must have been hotter than usual.
On the calm days Cleo has discovered she can hunt for little fish near shore.  It is her new obsession.
On Wednesday evening we went into town to see the live music in the square.  They have live music every Wednesday and lots of food vendors.  It was a very lively Mexican band.  Fun to see.
On Thursday we sat on the beach and went swimming in a light sprinkling of rain.  It was still hot.
Thursday evening we went out for American thanksgiving dinner with about 30 people.  It was delicious!
A little gecko above our door.
On Friday we made a trip into Puerto Vallarta to do some shopping.  It was a rainy day which was thanks to hurricane Sandra.  Luckily, that is all we got.
I thought Dave was going to crash the truck when I told him Dumb & Dumber were next to us.  The guy on the back was sitting on the lawn chairs.  It was pretty funny.
On Saturday morning we walked into town and Cleo met some goats.

We took this picture for Dave's biker brothers.
Remnants of Friday's rain.
Some baby turtles that are about to be released.

Sunday was another perfect beach day.

Yesterday was a bit cloudy at times and the waves were great for boogey boarding.
One of the guys from our park was getting a massage on the beach and Dave was up to his usual antics.
We had a great view from a beach bar last night.
This little stray was looking for handouts.  It's pretty cute and doesn't look like its starving.
Today is Tuesday.  I went to my first exercise class this morning.  It was great, but hot!  We will be having them twice a week.  Shelley & Darren arrive for a week tomorrow.  We're very excited!  I probably won't be blogging for a couple of weeks.
