Last day in the U.S.A.

We enjoyed the morning in our fancy campground in Amado, Arizona.  We used their showers which were the nicest we've seen anywhere.
I think Cleo enjoyed it there too.
We had a very short drive to Nogales, Arizona.

We arrived at our overnight stop at Walmart.  It was so gorgeous out we had our lunch outside
We did a tiny bit of shopping at Walmart and are just enjoying the weather.  We were hoping to connect with some other people here to caravan with tomorrow but so far that hasn't happened.  We are super excited to cross into Mexico tomorrow morning and will do it alone if necessary.
There are several other rv's here now.  Everyone is travelling on their own, leaving very early in the morning.  We plan to do the same.
I'm not sure when I will be blogging again.  I don't know when we will have wifi again.  The next time you hear from us we will be in Mexico!  Woohoo!

Finally.........Arizona

Our campsite in New Mexico was wonderfully quiet and we woke up to a very nice sunrise.
This looked like northern lights, except for the colour.
We stopped at a pistachio farm.
We started out on a cloudy day.
It became brighter and the landscape became sandier.  There are warnings of dust storms affecting visibility.  We were lucky that there had been rain.

Sand, sand & more sand which makes me very excited.  I LOVE sand!

The skies kept changing all day.

It rained so hard a couple of times, that we had to pull over.
We began to realize there was a problem on the road ahead.

An hour and a half later........
The cause of the accident was a semi on fire.

Back to dark skies & lightening.
More heavy rain.

Cool landscape.
We finally made it to Arizona!

Here we go again with the rain.
A bit of a rainbow.
Very cool.  This reminds us of the Baja.

First sighting of Palm trees in Tucson, Arizona.  Pretty sad ones.
We have arrived at the Desert Diamond casino in Tucson.  This was a long day.
We kept Cleo on a very short leash.  We figured if they have rattlesnakes hiding under things in New Mexico, maybe they do here too.
Sunset.
We walked over to the casino to see what they might be giving away.  We each got $10.00 for gambling plus a free buffet dinner!  What a deal!
We left the casino this morning and went to do a bit of shopping.  These bushes were right next to where we parked at Home Depot.

We had a very nice, very short drive to Amado, Arizona.

We arrived at De Anza RV resort.

Blender drink of the day: strawberry margarita.  It's a winner!

Our campsite is covered in a different kind of acorn.
This place has a salt water pool which we intend to check out later.
