Goodbye Land's End

It is interesting that they decorate the cell towers with palm fronds.  It makes them look like a really tall palm tree,
We went out for American Thanksgiving dinner with our California friends.
The next morning Dave and I went exploring to Los Barilles to see the RV parks there.
We were quite pleased with what we saw and are considering staying there for awhile.
These are some very pretty girls living next to our campground.
Some sights we saw on our morning walk. We were next door to a very nice development.
Our campground.
We had an excursion today for happy hour on a beach.  Dave took some great pictures on his phone but we don't have wifi right now so I can't get the pics on to my ipad.
A family of (I believe 5) lives in this bus at the campground.  They had another trailer which was destroyed by the hurricane.
The campgrounds in Mexico are very different from what we are used to, especially after a hurricane.  The wifi is very inconsistent, the water pressure comes and goes.  Sometimes it goes and never comes back.  You really have to adjust your expectations and just accept it.
We left Cabo this morning with no water coming out of the taps.  Good thing we had filled our tank previously because we are dry camping today.
This is a view of "Lands End".
We were at the southernmost tip and are now heading back north up the Pacific side.
Sorry for the bugs on the window and the chip.
Can you believe it?  Four lane highway.
This was taken inside a blanket factory where they make beautiful blankets, table cloths, ponchos, etc.
This used to be a bar.  It looked quite interesting.

We are arriving at our campground in Pescadero.  We are supposed to have a pool, hot tub, swim up bar, restaurant and wifi.
As we are lining up to enter the campground we are passed b a couple of side by side quads.
While we are waiting to park we see a fire off in the distance.
We find out the facility was heavily damaged by the hurricane and there is no wifi, no restaurant, no pool, no swim up bar.  There is a place to park and luckily an amazing ocean.
There were tons of surfers, the waves were unbelievable.  We haven't seen anything like that since Hawaii.
This is the resort that is attached to the RV park.  They are working hard to prepare for guests.
There is a hotel at the end of the beach that we walked to.  We heard they had a pool and were hoping to use it.
This is the pool at our RV park that was not quite ready.  It was supposed to be filled by today but some of the water was diverted to the fire you saw in the previous pictures.  They are also still working on cementing the bar and rebuilding the palapa around the pool bar.
Dave and I went for a walk down the beach to crash the pool at the hotel.  There was a cool stairway leading from the beach to get up there.
There was a great view of the beach on the way up.
Made it to the lobby.
Pretty cool place.
Apparently this is someone's private pool which we were not supposed to be anywhere near. We were checking out the awesome view.
We were told that only paying guests of the hotel were able to use the facilities however we could go to the bar, so off we went to the pool bar.
We asked if we could use the pool if we had a drink and were told that we had to spend $40.00 to go in the pool.  Forget that.  We took a few more pictures and were on our way.  We were told the rooms are about $370.00 per night.
This is a view of all the surfers waiting to catch a wave.
We went into the ocean for a swim on our way back to the RV park.

When we got back to the RV park we met the lady who is managing the resort.  She told us that we could go up to the hacienda (the hotel up on the hill) and use the pool.  When we told her our story she was very upset.  Maybe if we had said we were from the RV park it would have been different.  Anyway, we didn't want to go back.  She said that we could use the pool if we wanted even though it wasn't full yet.  We said sure!  Even Cleo tried it out.
Imagine the hot tub is full.
There is supposed to be a palapa over the pool bar.
The water should be deeper and there should be a bartender.
This is our "campground".
We were treated to dinner tonight which was excellent.
