Home Sweet Home

We separated from our caravan and are off on our own for the next 7-8 weeks until the next caravan comes around.  We have chosen a campground in Los Barriles which is approximately midway between Cabo San Lucas and La Paz.  We are driving less than 2 hours south today.  We just had to stop at El Triunfo Cafe on the way.  We ate there once before and it was delicious.  Cleo came in with us and was quite interested in the birds.  You gotta love Mexico.  Your dogs can go anywhere with you.
On the road, on our own.  No walkie talkies, no Lisa telling us there's a big rig coming, or it's all clear ahead.
We were fortunate there was very little traffic.
We have arrived at Martin Verdugos Beach Resort http://www.verdugosbeachresort.com in Los Barriles.  This is our home sweet home for awhile.
The beach goes forever in both directions.
Sunset.
Sunrise.
Morning beach walk.
More of the sunrise.
Kite surfing and wind surfing is the big attraction here,  There is lots of wind.  I am not normally a fan of wind but it sure feels great in this heat.
Our pool.  Small but refreshing.
Our nice shady patio.
Our view above.
Friday night bocce tournament.
We were invited to a neighbour's for burgers,  It was a great night.
Time for our morning walk.
The dogs meet on the beach at 6:30.
After breakfast we went for a walk to the Saturday community market.  We came home loaded with veggies, smoked fish, bread, etc.
Since today was a BIG birthday for me we walked to a nearby resort to go for dinner.
We watched the full moon come up.
It was a great night.  It is almost "Baja Midnight", which is 8:00.  We go to bed really early and get up really early.  I'm not sure how we will manage once we're not in the Baja.
